She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Evavold and Sarah Evavold (Mekalson); her parents-in-law, Dale and Kathryn Akerman; her siblings, Donald (Joyce), Charles, Glenn, Virgil Evavold (Vicki) and LaVaye Herness (LeWayne); her brothers-in-law, Daryl Akerman and David Larson; and her niece Jenny Akerman.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Akerman; her children, Heidi Christensen (Dave), Trevor Akerman (Marta) and Tyler Akerman (Heather); her grandchildren, Derrick (Sierra), Dillon Christensen, Sophie, Sage, Olivia, Hunter, Max and Jaxon Akerman; her siblings, Sylvia Burau (Duane) and Jerome Evavold (Mary); and her in-laws, Margaret, Joanne Evavold, Dianne Larson, David (Karol), Teresa Akerman and Judy Peterson.
Memorials are preferred to Minnesota Landscape Arboretum or Gideons International.
