He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Johnson and Esther Johnson; his siblings, Ethelyn Carlson (Bob), Gladys Paulson (Wayne), Lillian Wessman (Daryl), Elmer and Stuart Johnson; and his nephews, Dennis Carlson, Steve Paulson and Mike Paulson.

He is survived by: his spouse LaRene Peterson; his children, Greg (Cindy), Marcia Dischinger (Randy), Brenda (Mark Dischinger), Paul (Kim) and Doreen Mossberg (Ron); his grandchildren, Jenna Johnson, Craig Dischinger (Shawn), Curt Dischinger, Carmen Kandoll (Ryan), Chad Dischinger, Kyle Noyed (Jen), Emily Menssen (Tyler), Lindsey Starkweather (Kevin), Mitchell Johnson (Jenni), Tyler Johnson (Sarah), Kristi, Melia Johnson, Seth Mossberg (Ellie), Annika, Jakob and Lukas Mossberg; and his sisters-in-law, Annabelle Johnson and Joan Johnson. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
