He is survived by: his wife Jean of Dayton; his son Tom Kern (Katie); his granddaughters, Kaylee and Ella of Champlin, MN; his daughter Jennifer Miller (Paul) of Bowdle, SD; his grandchildren, Sara, Lisa and Lane of Texas; his son Jeff Kern (Jennifer); his granddaughters, Julia and Janna of Andover, MN; and his siblings, Barbara Stangeland (Ron) of Brookings, SD, Dennis (Sherry) of Porter, Lynell Sunderland (Steve) of Clara City and Lorraine Meulebroeck (Dennis) of Balaton.
