He was predeceased by: his parents, Milo Kern and Loretta Kern (Schiller). He is survived by: his wife Jean of Dayton; his son Tom Kern (Katie); his granddaughters, Kaylee and Ella of Champlin, MN; his daughter Jennifer Miller (Paul) of Bowdle, SD; his grandchildren, Sara, Lisa and Lane of Texas; his son Jeff Kern (Jennifer); his granddaughters, Julia and Janna of Andover, MN; and his siblings, Barbara Stangeland (Ron) of Brookings, SD, Dennis (Sherry) of Porter, Lynell Sunderland (Steve) of Clara City and Lorraine Meulebroeck (Dennis) of Balaton.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Eloi Catholic Church (306 W McQuestion St, Minneota, MN 56264). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
