He was predeceased by: his parents, John Welk and Estelle Welk; his siblings, John, Ronald, Donald Welk, Charolette Wesen and Gwen Workman; his son-in-law Ryan Holland; and his parents-in-law, Lloyd and Doris Kentoph.

He is survived by: his wife Fay; his daughters, Monika Albeck (Jason) and Andrea Holland; his grandchildren, Tanner, Landon, Logan Albeck, Madeline and Austin Holland; his sisters, Marilyn Lilyquist and Judy Gravelle; and his sister-in-law Sonia Welk. He is also survived by his family, friends.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 12:30 PM at 16900 N Diamond Lake Rd, Dayton, MN 55327.
