He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard, Sr. Thompson and Marybelle Thompson; his siblings, Harlow, Lyle Thompson, Helen Arver and Sylvia Stangland; and his grandson Sean Horner.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Mayo; his children, Jackie Graves (Mark) of Washington State, WA, Jacqueline Payne (John) of Deer River, MN, Steve Thompson of Washington State, WA, Perry Thompson (Kristi) of Washington State, Kelly Thompson (Kathy) of Washington State, Russell Horner (JoAnn) of Deer River, MN and Thomas Horner of Grand Rapids, MN; and his siblings, Lorraine Storlie of Cohasset, MN, LaVerne Thompson of Baudette, MN and Rodney Thompson. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
