With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Mayo of Deer River, Minnesota, born in Wadena, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 10, 2025 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her husband William Mayo; her daughter Christine Killian; her grandchildren, Kevin Hoffman, Kerri Hoffman and Jessica Mayo; her parents, Wesley Sheffield and Helen Sheffield; and her siblings, Gary, Joe Sheffield and Monica Klein.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Morgan (Mike) of Vicksburg, MS, Debbie Martinez of Wisconsin Dells, WI, Billy Mayo (Heidi) of Watertown, SD and Jody Taylor (Josh) of Panama City, FL. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Carroll Funeral Home (314 Main Ave E, Deer River, MN 56636). A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
