He was predeceased by : his parents, William Backer and Leona Backer; and his brother William. He is survived by : his wife Marilyn Backer (Stolt); his children, Brett Allan Backer (Randi Backer) and Janella Fesenmaier (Adam Fesenmaier); and his granddaughter Stella.
