She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Sernett and Monica Sernett (Hronek); and her siblings, Marilyn and Charles. She is survived by: her husband Don; her children, Faye Spitzley of Fargo, ND, Don Spitzley (Deb) of Cloquet, MN, Paul Spitzley of Ramsey, MN, Janet Strand of Fargo, ND, Jeanette Roesler (Darin) of Mapleton, ND, Tim Spitzley (Cassie) of Brainerd, MN, Shelly Reinke (James) of Melrose, MN and Rob Spitzley (Angie) of Eden Valley, MN; and her siblings, Msgr and Elaine Colee of Pocahontas, IA. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (1043 Lake Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery (1000 Rossman Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501).
Diane would welcome prayers and mass intentions in lieu of flowers.
