He is survived by: his father Bob Sonnenberg; his wife Sue Pearson; his son Jake; his grandsons, Sam and Ben Sonnenberg; his siblings, Neil Sonnenberg (Roxanne) of Detroit Lakes and Sheri Olerud (Chris) of Moorhead; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Pearson of Fargo, Shelly Sonnenberg of Detroit Lakes, Bonnie Pearson of Bemidji, Mike Pearson of Barnesville, Jeff Pearson of Fargo and Jeff Gerdes of Audubon.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the David-Donehower Funeral & Cremation Service (609 US-10, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501). A prayer will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (1401 Madison Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501).
