It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita A. Pearson of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, who passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John L DuChene and Mary DuChene (Braun); her sons, Stephen and Brian; her siblings, Leonard DuChene, John Herbert DuChene (Margie), Alice Steffl (Flavian), Wilfred DuChene, Dolores Sampson (Richard) and Donna Kennelly (Lynn); and her in-laws, Robert and Bertha Pearson.
She is survived by: her husband Ken (Ken); her son Brent Pearson (Wendy) of Detroit Lakes, MN.; her grandchildren, Stephanie Nelson, Heather Biebl (Garret), Isaiah Pearson (Elizabeth), Nolan Pearson and Alexandra Karau (Devon); her stepgrandsons, Keith Williams and Jack Pearson; her great grandchildren, Aubree Nelson, Brantley Nelson, Jameson Nelson, Onslo Biebl, Wilhelmina Biebl, Agnes Biebl and Love Karau; and her siblings-in-law, Paul Pearson (Janet), Mark Pearson (Wanda), Carolyn Restad (Pearson) and Alice DuChene (Wilfred). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
