He was predeceased by : his parents, Daniel F. Knapper and Alice Knapper (Erickson); and his siblings, Martin, Ernie, George, Harold, Chuck, Irvin, Marvin, Alice and Marie.

He is survived by : his wife Joanne Pederson; his children, Melodi Knapper (Rick Kuske) of Glyndon, MN, Becki Jacobson of Dilworth, MN and Brad Knapper (Connie) of Moorhead, MN; his grandchildren, Trista Croonquist (Josh) of Dilworth, Jamie Olson of Dilworth, MN, Lee Gackle (Cleo Mcaplin) of Fargo, ND, Chris Gackle (Elaina) of Wakefield, KS, Diandra Farsdale (Tylor) of Hawley, MN and Dalton Knapper of Breckenridge, MN; and his great grandchildren, Lexi Badal of Dilworth, MN, Logan Gonzalez of Wakefield, KS, Aria Gonzalez of Wakefield, KS, Cash Croonquist of Dilworth, MN, Scarlett Gackle of Wakefield, KS, Bjorn Farsdale of Hawley, MN and Azalea Gackle of Fargo, ND. He is also survived by 3 sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

“Glenda and I are saddened to hear that Albert passed away. We had such a good time when we attended family functions with Al and Joanne. We are sorry we are unable to attended the celebration of life but scheduling does not permit us to return to Minnesota at this time. Our prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
