He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Bergee and Eleanor Bergee (Trom); his wife Barbara Jean Jahner; and his sister Sherry Bjerke. He is survived by: his children, Rahn Bergee (Elana), Daniel Bergee (Kristen), Susan Bergee, Sandra Krieg (Matt) and Nancy Wilson (Ross); his brother Gale Bergee (Linda); and his brother-in-law Niles Bjerke (Shirley). He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Gene's faith community at Dilworth Lutheran Church.
