He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Sr. Burnside and Juanita Burnside; his daughter Veronica; his brothers, Chuck and Larry; and his nephew Travis.
He is survived by: his children, David (Dawn), Valerie (Scott) and Sabrina (Shane); and his grandchildren, Kayla (Ryan), Kari (Nolan), Bryce, Jazmine (Carson), Kiarra (Ben), Hunter (Erica), Stephen, Adam, Blake "Buddy" and Aris "Peanut". He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
The military honors will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Fargo National Cemetery (8709 40th Avenue North, Co Rd 20, Harwood, ND 58042).
