She was predeceased by: her husband Gary Overby; her parents, George Mehl and June Mehl; and her siblings, Carol Kossick, Georgia Sorenson and Pete Mehl.
She is survived by: her children, Shelly Boettcher (Mike), Tisha Felland (Eric) and Benjamin Overby (Brittany); her grandchildren, Zakk, Brandon, Bella and Danica; her great grandchild Silas; and her siblings, Tim Mehl (Sylvia), Paul Mehl (Mary) and Becky Nelson (Eric).
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kay's honor may be made to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
