He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara Thompson (Niedzwiecka) and Russell Dean Thompson Sr.; and his brother Russell Dean Thompson Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Heather Badar, Robert Thompson Vetter, Hailey Hagen, Holly Hagen, Thomas Hagen, Hannah Vetter, Tyler Hagen, Heidi Paul, Ryan Paul and Havanna; and his sisters, Ruthie Thompson (Darcy Sherman), Marcie Prince (Jason) and Anna Mae Thompson (Cory Stevens). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
