With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas Payne of Dodge Center, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 18, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Shawn; his sister Phyllis; and his brother-in-law Conrad Larson. He is survived by: his wife Karen Osborn; his children, Brian (Kristina) of Darien, IL, Cathy Jara (Andrés) of Dodge Center, MN and Marcy Kersten (Randy) of Milton, WI; his grandchildren, Corbin, Natalie, Isaac Kersten, Matías and Rafael Jara; his siblings, David (Janette) of Charles City, IA, Roger of Dodge Center, MN, Miriam Shook (Bill) of Lake Elmo, MN, Elise Walker (Alan) of Amery, WI, Madelyn Neher (Richard) of Dodge Center, MN and Janelle Weaver (Glenn) of Norfolk, VA; and his brothers-in-law, Phillip Osborn (Judy) of Upton, KY, Joel Osborn (Doneta) of Milton, WI, Timothy Osborn (Jayme) of Upton, KY and Stephen Osborn (Angie) of Firestone, CO. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Hope Church (203 E Main St, Dodge Center, MN 55927).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or the Seventh Day Baptist Conference.
