He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Eiler and Lucille Eiler (Tersteeg). He is survived by: his wife Karen Bailey of Duluth; his children, Mike Eiler of Duluth, Syvanna Thibodaux (Blake) of Duluth and Amanda Elfering (Kelly) of Bird Island; his grandchildren, Andrew, Mae, Levi, Grace and Luke; and his siblings, Jim Eiler (Jan) of Bird Island, Theresa Roering of St. Cloud, Pattie Eiler of Olivia, Steve Eiler of Bird Island and Dennis Eiler of Bird Island.
