She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuben Nelson and Edith Nelson; her spouse Thorwald Leland; and her brother Allan Nelson. She is survived by: her children, Karen Leland, Dan Leland (Kathy), Paul Leland (Wendy) and Jim Leland; her sisters-in-law, Anna Nelson and Mardell Lindstrom (Robert); and her cousin John Amatuzio (Donna). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
