We are sad to announce that on July 20, 2025, at the age of 74, Carolyn E Blomquist Simonson of Duluth, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Simonson and Evelyn Simonson; and her granddaughters, Effie Blomquist and Nina Blomquist. She is survived by: her husband Charles Blomquist of Northeast, MD.; her children, Theresa Sarkinen, Daniel Blomquist (Kristin) and Nathan Blomquist (Kristy); and her siblings, Sandy Dobrava (Mike), Linda Hiivala (Robert), Judy Stolp (Dennis), Michael Simonson (Bonnie), Daniel Simonson (Darci), Steven Simonson (Judy), Karen Bruckelmyer (John), Paul Simonson (Mayme) and Lori Raisanen (Calvin). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 7:00 PM at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Woodland Park (3730 Martin Rd, Duluth, MN 55803).
