With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cass Wayne Spurgeon of Duluth, Minnesota, who passed away on July 29, 2025 at the age of 39. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his godfather Jeffrey F. Lechnir; his cousin Dakota Lechnir; and his grandparents, Ernest Lechnir, Jr., Ivan Spurgeon and Lavonne Spurgeon.

He is survived by: his uncles, Jeff and Trace; his daughter Lucy Spurgeon; his parents, Sidney Spurgeon and Kate Spurgeon (Kathy Lechnir); his siblings, Amanda Spurgeon Manson (Jason) of Warsaw and Andrew Spurgeon (Madison) of So; his nephews, Ethan, Grayson Einertson, Alexander Hering and Aschten Spurgeon; and his grandmother Darlene Erickson of Kasson. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
