With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dale E Hietala of Duluth, Minnesota, who passed away on November 16, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Dale may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dale touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Hietala and Ester Hietala; his daughter Kari Shuster (Norman); and his siblings, David Hietala (Darlene), Ryan Hietala (Faye), Rodney Hietala (Betty) and Shirley Meyer (Chuck).
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Darren Hietala (Lisa) and Kaylee Aleshire (Mitch); his granddaughters, Makinley Hietala and Langley Hayman; and his great grandchild Fiona Aleshire.
