It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Douglas George Reckinger of Duluth, Minnesota, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, who passed away on May 20, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Reckinger and Helen Reckinger (Irene); his wife Carol Ferrazzi; and his brother Bryant. He is survived by: his children, Michael (Brenda), Richard (Ann) and Carrie Johnson (Frank Haydon Jr.); his grandchildren, Nicole, Jessica (Colin), Morgan, Kelsey, Carley, Natasha, Derek and Melanie; his siblings, Richard (Jeanine) and Elaine Bottomley; and his close friend Sandy Hite. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
