He was predeceased by: his parent Laurel Pierson; his stepfather Vernon Pierson; his brother David; his stepbrothers, Kenny and Keith Pierson; and his sibling's children, Vernon and Tiami.
He is survived by: his wife Claudia Annala; his sons, James (Heather), Daniel (Liz), David and Joseph (Emilie); his grandchildren, Logan, Breanna, Claudia, Nathan, Lucian, Warren and Wesley; and his sisters, Ellie Jensen (Brad), Bonnie Sirjord (late Marvin) and Carol Browne.
