He is survived by: his children, Kim Gondek (Jeff) of Superior, WI, Amy Boysen (Kevin Wehner), Jay Boysen (Teresa) of Proctor, MN and Guy Boysen (Marissa Cope); his grandchildren, Justin, Jeremy, Kyle, Ella, Blaine, Evan and Emma; and his siblings, Sally, Terry and Tom of Fremont, NE.

His children request any donations/memorials be made in Gene's name to Second Harvest Food Shelf.
