It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gudrun Hoivik in Duluth, Minnesota, who passed away on March 25, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Rasmus Sangolt and Bergit Sangolt; her fiancé Egil Hoivik; and her siblings, Margunn Carton and Magne Sangolt.

She is survived by : her niece Jannicke Sangolt; her sons, John (Leanne Ventrella) of Duluth and Rolf of Duluth; her sister Solveig Sangolt of Bergen, Norway; her granddaughters, Lynne Hoivik and Amanda Bilbrey (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Livia Sanchez and Nolan Bilbrey; her sister-in-law Karen Fonn (Jostein); and her family, Gudrun, Amy, Logan and Amber.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (1100 E Superior St, Duluth, MN 55802).
