He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert B. Peterson and Harriet Peterson (Tangen); his wife Judith Barto Peterson; his daughter Sandra Judith; and his siblings, Lois Peterson Schuman, Ronald and Robert Peterson.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Peterson (Rhonda) and Sharon Smith (Todd Murphy); his grandchildren, Matthew Smith (Erin) and Danielle Smith; his great grandchildren, Boston, Jack and Alek Smith; and his brother David Peterson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home (3208 W 3rd St, Duluth, MN 55806). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
