He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Rectenwald (Staub) and Jacob Alphonse Rectenwald; and his sister Norma Piel. He is survived by: his wife Mary Helen (Becker); his children, David (Nancy), Daniel (Lynne) and Thomas (Wendy); his grandchildren, Hayley Rasmussen (Brian), Nicholas, Joseph, Erich, Christopher, Maria, Elly and Sarah; his great grandchild Grace; and his sisters, Mary Jane Lazenga, Theresa Nowalk, Ruth Then and Shirley Warner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
