James Alfred leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. James Alfred’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew James Alfred will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Larson and Vera Larson (Funkhouser); his wife Cleo Royer; his great grandchild Aaron Nathan Skafte; and his great great grandchild Leah Jo Lind.
He is survived by: his children, David Larson (Heather), Patty Lind (Jack), Suzanne Skafte (Robert), Sandy Flagstad and Janet Skadsberg (Eric). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home & Cremation Services (3208 W 3rd St, Duluth, MN 55806).
