We announce the death of James Lee Hitchcock of Duluth, Minnesota, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 87. James Lee will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Hitchcock and Dorothy Hitchcock (Taplin); his wife Wanda Watters; and his brother William Hitchcock. He is survived by: his children, Tracy Miller (Scott) of Norwalk and Jamie Hitchcock (Ann) of Bryant, Iowa; his grandchildren, Ryan, Brianna, Josh, Jaci, Kaitlin, Coby, Lucas and Cari; his great grandchildren, Kamryn, Addison, Reeva, Mason, Raven and Kooper; his sisters, Mary Mistretta, Gerry Johnson and Carol Young (Dave); and his siblings-in-law, Diane Eyerly and Bill Eyerly. He is also survived by great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Pape Funeral Home (2308 Pershing Blvd, Clinton, IA 52732). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
