John Brekke Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on October 23, 2021, at the age of 78, John Brekke (Duluth, Minnesota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Harvey and Agatha Brekke; his sister Jean Herzberg; and his granddaughter Amanda. He is survived by: his daughter Karin Olson; his granddaughters, Chris, Annika and Greta Olson; his daughter Kristine Valdivia; his grandchildren, Jesus, Isabel, Grace and Luis Cruz; and his nephew Christopher Herzberg (Minneapolis).

Due to Covid we kindly ask that all attendees wear a mask.

Memorials will go to fund a new John Brekke scholarship aimed at furthering his scientific interests.
