He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond John Whelan and Olivette Marie Whelan (Johnson); and his brothers, Clarence Whelan and William Whelan. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Whelan (Plant); his children, Helen Wayer (Mark), John Whelan (Corinne), Bill Whelan (Maria Rogness) and Jim Whelan (Kelly); his grandchildren, Eric Wells, Heather Benedict, Andy Whelan and Michael Whelan; and his great grandchildren, Caleb, Kinley, Hazel, Paige and Zoey.
