He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sr. Gummerson and Mercedes Gummerson (Baker); his brother Jim; and his children, James and Theresa.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughters, Debra Robbins (Tim), Mary Jo Norrell and Susan Verado (Steve); his sister Mary Heyl; and his brothers-in-law, Mark Ponsolle (Carol) and John Ponsolle (Michelle). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Boat Club (600 E Superior St, Duluth, MN 55802).
