Joshua leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Joshua’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Joshua will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He is survived by: his close friend Christian; his fiancé Claire Sunsten; his parents, Rudy and Janiece of Jonge; his brother Jesse of Jonge; and his grandparents, Mark, Waneta Knudsen, Ron and Brenda Thompson. He is also survived by his nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Center Chapel (8020 Kennedy St, Indianola, IA 50125). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family will set up a memorial to honor Josh and to keep his memory and who he was as a person alive for others to experience.
