He is survived by: his wife Virginia Oberg (Laven); his son Donald Oberg (Sharon); his grandson Bjorn Oberg of Maple Grove, MN; his children, Roger Oberg of Phoenix, AZ and Patricia McGaffey (Scott) of Duluth, MN; his grandchildren, Sarah Delorme (Edward) and Daniel McGaffey (Chloe Strand); his great grandchildren, Connor Delorme, Mason Delorme and Lilith McGaffey-Strand; his grandchildren, Brett Oberg (Hayli), Cassandra Oberg and Brooklyn Oberg; his great grandchild Baker Oberg; Neal Oberg (Stacy) of Madison, WI. He is also survived by his best friend and the love of his life.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Johns Catholic Church (4230 St Johns Ave, Duluth, MN 55803). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
