She was predeceased by: her husband Paul M. Hegstrom Sr.; her brothers, Jerry and Richard Shetler; her brothers-in-law, Jerry Hegstrom (Cindy) and Blair Gades; and her pet Belle.
She is survived by: her children, Paul M. Hegstrom Jr. (Stacy) of Esko, Minnesota, Patricia M. Hegstrom-Olson (Neal) of Superior, Wisconsin and Pamela M. Hegstrom of Amnicon Lake; her grandson Paul M. Hegstrom III (Katie) of Cloquet, Minnesota; her children, Hannah E. (Robert Rutka) of Duluth, Minnesota, Abigail H. Fish (Jonathan) of Esko, Minnesota, Eric R. Hegstrom of St. Louis Park, Minnesota and Nathan L. Olson of Superior; her great grandchildren, Dinah Lee and Talia Rose Rutka; her brother James F. Shetler (Janet Shetler) of Edina, Minnesota; her siblings-in-law, Maria Lopez-Shetler, John Hegstrom (Karen) of Woodbury and Lynn Gades of Mitchell, SD; and her pet Lucy Love Hegstrom. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dougherty Funeral Home (600 E 2nd St, Duluth, MN 55805). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
