With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen K. (Schiffman) Granrose of Duluth, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 14, 2025 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gust Granrose and Signe Granrose (Heino); her siblings, Edwin, Irene and Esther; her children-in-law, Scottie Hecker, Robert Cox and Robin Porter; and her grandson Christopher Cox.
She is survived by: her children, Shawn Cox of Champlin, Rory Porter (JoLei) of Yorktown, Virginia, Brian Porter of Sackets Harbor, Tammy Hecker of Blackhoof Valley, Cary Porter (Andrea) of Fridley and Cheri Porter (Donald Bisset) of Henriette, Minnesota. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Nelson Funeral Care and Cremation Service (1004 Cloquet Ave, Cloquet, MN 55720).
