He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Challas Butler; his children, Joseph Butler (Tammie McDonald) and Molly Hanning (Cooper); his siblings, Tom Butler and Sheila Doran; his grandchildren, Gus and Maida Hanning; and his pet Angel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
