It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Kurt Darwin Bartell of Duluth, Minnesota, who passed away at the age of 61, on November 22, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Bartell and Gloria Bartell (Johnson); and his former wife Natalie. He is survived by: his son Max; his wife Rachel; his siblings, Danielle Johnston (Gordon), Dayton (Machelle), Tierney (Michael Booth) and Chelsea; and his in-laws, Milt and Marilyn Hagen. He is also survived by family; many extended family members, and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Matthews Lutheran Church (4 Elizabeth Ave, Esko, MN 55733).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Duluth Friends of Tennis (Longview Tennis Club).
