Marlis Fay Cran Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marlis Fay Cran of Duluth, Minnesota, who passed away on July 19, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Briddell and Edith Briddell; her husband Donald G. Cran; her siblings, Dorothy Brown, Evelyn Nelson, Donald Briddell and Joyce Briddell; and her daughter-in-law Ginny Cran.
She is survived by: her children, Denfeld and Scout; her friends, D. C. Marlis and Pipestone; her children, Loni Cran-Hovis, Darlene Schroedel (Todd), Stewart Cran, Doug Cran (Colleen) and Darrell Cran; her grandchildren, Jeremy Cran, Dale, Justin Hovis, Emily Wolfe (Henry), Anna Fay Schroedel, Laura Schroedel, Amanda Cran, Jonah, Ian and Caleb Cran; and her great grandchildren, Kyra, Caleb, Kendra, Paxton, Slade, Corbin and Ryker. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peace United Church of Christ (1111 N 11th Ave E, Duluth, MN 55805). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Peace United Church of Christ, or CHUM, or any of the other charitable organizations that Marlis provided her time and talents to as mentioned above.
