He was predeceased by: his parents, Marguerite Hampston and John Hampston of Mary's Hospital; his brother John; and his nephew Sean Daly. He is survived by: his wife Sharon "Rosie" Salo; his sons, Robert Hampston (Char) and John D. Hampston; the mother of his children Linda Edstrom Hampston; his sisters, Claudia Daly (Stan Kusunoki) and Mary Kay (Kitty); his family Mike; his nephews, Patrick, Michael Daly and Daniel Kanninen; his niece Rebecca Kanninen; his friends, Willie, JoAnn Mattson, Al Drang, Clay Odden and Mary Alvar; his sons, Jody Ricci, Adam, Jess and Cody Kruchoski; and his sister-in-law Sally Baratto.
