He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Pat" Rusch and Ellen Rusch (Miller); his wife Violet Sojka; his great grandchild Michael Ziegler Jr.; and his brothers, Kenton (Kenny) and William Rusch (Bill).
He is survived by: his daughter Patricia "Patty" Johnson (Dennis) of Superior, WI; his stepson Robert "Bob" Stanford Jr. (Mechelle LaBelle) of Superior, WI; his grandchildren, Michael Ziegler Sr. of Duluth, MN, Joshua Johnson (Katie Parks) of Hoyt Lakes, MN and Alexis Johnson (Kyler Moss) of Oliver, WI; and his sister Jacquelyn Larson of North Branch, MN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
