It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Hill of Duluth, Minnesota, born in Superior, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 14, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elaise Hill and John Hill; his siblings, John Hill and Dorthy; and his mother-in-law Marcia Ramey.
He is survived by: his significant other Dawn; his sons, Jason Hill (Kelly) of Minnesota's Iron Range and Doug Hill (Kelly Thompson); his grandchildren, Jordan Whitten (Jared), Caden Hill (Josie), Grant Hill, Andraya Hill, Chris Hill and Brayde Hill; his daughter-in-law Karen Hietala-Hill; and his sister M'Liss Murphy (Jim). He is also survived by sons, then for their grandchildren.
A prayer was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 6:30 AM to 6:45 AM at the Dougherty Funeral Home (600 E 2nd St, Duluth, MN 55805). Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A wake was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the donors choice in Richard's name.
