He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Herbert Sampson and Agnes Sampson (Grant); his wives, Nancy Sampson and Jeanne Sampson; and his siblings, Russell, Leonard Sampson, Bucko Ellingson and Arlene Brander.
He is survived by: his son Michael Robert (Cathy Nevers); his grandchildren, Carolyn, Benjamin and Ekta; his stepdaughter Carolyn Kranz (Brian); his grandsons, Dalton and Aaron; his friend Rockne Johnson; Patricia Long.
