He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Neff and Olive Neff (Wheatley); his brother Brian J. Neff; his wife Genevieve Neff (Mroz) of Duluth; his children, Kathleen Neff (Frank Garcia) of Duluth and Scott Neff (Lori Wagner) of Minneapolis; and his grandchild Kristofferson Neff.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Chum Food Shelf in Duluth.
