He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathryn Wedin and Chester Wedin; and his sister-in-law Eileen. He is survived by: his significant other Mary Beth Bujold; his brother Donn (Anita); his niece Sunni Bliese (Scott); the mother of his children Kerry Wedin; his children, Crisi Esser (Paul) and Brandon Bartlett (Melissa); and his grandchildren, Emily Cash (Jordan), Kelli Allison, Leah and Camden Esser. He is also survived by relatives, friends.
