He is survived by: his father Raymond Gary Merila; his wife Mary Kay Merila; his children, Jesse Merila, Kristy Kay Olson (Marc) and Desa Rothers (Jake); his siblings, Gary Merila (Mary Beth), Laurie Merila and Karen Donald (Kenny); his grandchildren, Piper, Cooper, Lumi and Inara; his pet Snickerfritz; Michelle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
