He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Barratt and Blanche Barratt; and his stepbrothers, Norman and Edgar Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jean; and his sister Sally Van Sittert of Mississippi. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Tom held several governing positions at Leisure World, including president of the Mutual 15 Board and president and treasurer of the Golden Rain Foundation Board.
