He is survived by: his children, Mark Carlson (Jodi), Tracie Steinman (Gregg), Janelle Buske (Ray) and David Carlson (Susan); his grandchildren, Amanda Stockham (Josh), Julie Jones (Evan), Kelsey Toetschinger (James), Chloe Steinman (Luke Bigalk), Brianna Dunstan (Tim) and Ryan Buske (Emily); his great grandchildren, Paxton, Josephine, Declan, Scarlett, Audrey, Henry, Layla and Isabella "Daisy"; and his sister Joan Smothers.
Memorials preferred to First Lutheran Church or Animal Allies of Duluth.
