He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley; his parents, Rueben and Ethel; his son-in-law Phil Polzin; and his brother-in-law Harry Thernell.
He is survived by: his children, Rae Polzin, Rick Palm, Randy Palm (Christine), Rory Palm (Beth) and Ryan Palm; his grandchildren, Brandon, Audrey, Ben, Ashley, Sara, Adam, Jenny and Ellie; his great grandchildren, Nora, Annabel, Nolan, William, Winnie and Wade; and his siblings, Karen Thurnell, Brad (Sarah) and Ron (Ruth). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren or great grandchildren.
