With sadness, we share the passing of Lydia Ann Hayes of Eagan, Minnesota. Lydia Ann, born on March 4, 1934 in Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on September 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Donn Hayes; her parents, Theodore Zurhorst and Lydia Zurhorst; her siblings, Ted Zurhorst and Hedwig McNew; and her granddaughter Amanda.
She is survived by: her children, Sheri Brown (Mark), Colleen Marquardt (Dan), Kay Kretzmann (Don), Marilyn Stoutenburg (Mike), Paul Hayes (Marilyn) and Jan Cassada (Doug); and her grandchildren, Matthew, Kristin, Cyndi, Lydia, Becky, Courtney, Eric, Anna, Mike, Adam, Brett, Chad, Alyssa, Rachel and Peter. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Redemption Lutheran Church (927 E Old Shakopee Rd, Bloomington, MN 55420). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of memorials, donations preferred to Concordia Theological Seminary.
